The Pharmacy Technician Course helps
prepare the student to take the Pharmacy Technician
Certification Board Examination. The role of the pharmacy
technician is to help licensed pharmacists provide
medication and other health care products to patients. Tasks
may include verifying the accuracy of prescriptions,
counting tablets and labeling bottles, pricing and filing
the prescription, maintaining patient profiles, preparing
insurance claim forms, and stocking and inventorying
medications.
